The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is the single-largest fundraiser for St. Jude nationwide, raising nearly $450 million and giving away 520 houses throughout the country since its inception in 1991.

 

The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway owes its success to its ability to generate excitement throughout the community. Everyone, from the general public who purchase tickets to media partners who increase awareness to the home- building network who build the house, work together to help make Danny’s dream come true that no child should die in the dawn of life.

It is the only National Cancer Institute- designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago.  St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent, and we won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
